2 Key Twists You Can't Escape Observing in Marvel: Externals

They shouldn't have found out the true purpose of their mission on Planet Earth.

Like most Marvel movie, Marvel: Eternals, is a superhero movie. It's about Celestials, Eternals and Deviants. The Prime Celestial, Arishem created the first sun, the Eternals and the Deviants for the purpose of the emergence of other celestial beings. The Eternals were sent to earth to protect it from the Deviants until the time of the emergence. However, things went south when the leader of the Eternals, Ajak was found dead, murdered by a deviant that absorbed her power. As captivating as the movie is, there are 2 major twists you can't escape while watching it, and they are;

1. Druig Not Being The Villain: Aside from the fact that Barry Keoghan-Druig is well known for playing weird characters, we never foresaw that he would turn out to be a fan-favorite character, not after his big disagreement with Ajak in Tenochtitlan. When Sersi, Sprite, Ikaris, Gilgamesh, Kingo and Thena brought the news of Ajak's death and Arishem's plans to him, he initially refused to help, until another Deviant attacked the place he was staying. It was surprising how Druig became one of the compassionate heroes in the story.

2. Love Stopped Ikaris: Ikaris, the most strongest of all Eternals, turned out to be the villain/traitor. He preferred not to accept the truth about the origin of the Eternals, and the fact that Arishem wanted them to save earth to destroy it later, and that there was never Planet Olympia. He murdered Ajak, turned against his friends, and tried to stop Sersi from executing her plans of putting Tiamut to sleep and stopping the Emergence, but couldn't bring himself to do it because, he loved her.
